About Jasmine

Jasmine is a Southern soul, born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and raised in Lithonia, Georgia. Her campaign journey began early, around the age of seven, when she volunteered alongside her Grandmother and Papa, helping pass out flyers outside their working precinct at a senior home in downtown Wilmington.

Since then, Jasmine has remained a dedicated super-volunteer and community advocate. Her service has included work with the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, the California Democrats, and the Virginia Young Democrats, where she served as Women’s Caucus Chair and Outreach Director.

​

Jasmine brings more than 15 years of campaign experience and has worked on over 18 campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels. Her campaign work includes supporting Congressman Sanford Bishop, Judge Sheila Calloway, Supervisor Dan Storck, and Senator Raphael Warnock.

A champion for the next generation of leaders and activists, Jasmine served as the National Organizing Director at Rock the Vote during the 2020 presidential election. In that role, she managed the organization’s first-ever ambassador program, mobilizing Gen Z and Millennials across the country to become active in the political process and make their voices heard at the ballot box.

​

During her time at Rock the Vote, Jasmine also created and launched the Empower Together series, bringing in experts to share knowledge on pressing issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series also featured special guests who offered uplift and motivation, including Logan Browning, Ryan Jamaal Swain, and Candiace Dillard Bassett.

Jasmine later worked within one of the largest progressive ecosystems in the country as Deputy Director of State Capacity Building at State Voices. In this role, she supported state tables with sustainability, planning, and organizing efforts. She also collaborated with department colleagues to host the organization’s national convenings, both internal and external, and helped develop a board management series.

In her spare time, you can find Jasmine shopping for anything on sale, volunteering, hosting parties and holidays with her husband, and making time for all things self-care.
